Training Day - 10/27/03
These six pages contain up to 16 photos of our two cars being torn apart by
extrication equipment commonly referred to as "The Jaws of
Life". We are actually using a brand called TNT.
We donated these cars so that our firefighters can practice how to quickly
extricate a crash victim. One car has no person in it, the other has a
pretend victim and our New Glarus EMS in blue. This takes place in our
fire station, which has a peculiar yellowish light. Makes for some ugly
pictures, but some are nice all the same.
Personal favorites are the one where the glass is caught exploding inward,
the van windshield is being cut with a handsaw and me, snipping the doors off
(on the last page). The last eight pictures are at 1600x1200, the rest are
640 by 480. The thumbnails are all 160 wide.
I will try to add captions eventually.
